An Eoq Model with Ramp Type Demand Rate, Weibull Deterioration Rate and Partial Backlogging, under Inflation

چکیده
In this paper, an inventory model with ramp type demand rate with inflation and time value of money is developed. The deterioration rate follows three-parameter Weibull distribution with the concept of life time of an item. Shortages are also allowed and unsatisfied demand is partially backlogged. The model is fairly general in practice, as the demand of some items such as fashionable items increases up to the time point of its stabilization. The backlogging rate is any non-increasing function of the waiting time up to the next replenishment. Numerical example is also considered to illustrate the results. Sensitivity analysis is also carried out.

An improved inventory model with partial backlogging, time varying deterioration and stock-dependent demand
a r t i c l e i n f o This paper expands an inventory model for deteriorating items with stock-dependent demand. This model provides time varying backlogging rate as well as time varying deterioration rate. The aim of this model is to determine the optimal cycle length of each product such that the expected total cost (holding, shortage, ordering, deterioration and opportunity cost) is minimize...
متن کاملPRODUCTION MODEL WITH SELLING PRICE DEPENDENT DEMAND AND PARTIAL BACKLOGGING UNDER INFLATION
We developed an inventory model for decaying items with selling price dependent demand in inflationary environment. Deterioration rate is taken as two parameter Weibull distribution. Shortages in inventory are allowed with partial backlogging. Backlogging rate is taken as exponential decreasing function of time. Profit maximization technique is used in this study.
متن کاملTwo-Warehouse Inventory Model for Deteriorating Items with Time-Dependent Demand and Partial Backlogging Under Inflation
This paper deals with a two-warehouse inventory model for deteriorating items with time dependent demand and partial backlogging under inflation. It is assumed that deterioration of items follows two-parameter Weibull distribution and demand rate varies exponentially with time. Shortages are allowed and partial backlogging depends on waiting time of next replenishment. A numerical example is pr...
متن کاملInventory models with ramp type demand rate, partial backlogging and Weibull deterioration rate
Recently, Skouri et al. (2009) proposed two inventory models with general ramp-type demand rate, Weibull deterioration rate, and partial backlogging of unsatisfied demand: (a) Model 1 was starting with no shortages, and Model 2 was starting with shortages. They derived the optimal solutions for both models. Then they ran 2 numerical examples, and concluded that ”the total cost for the model sta...
متن کاملInventory Model for Non – Instantaneous Deteriorating Items, Stock Dependent Demand, Partial Backlogging, and Inflation over a Finite Time Horizon
In the present study, the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model of two-warehouse deals with non-instantaneous deteriorating items, the demand rate considered as stock dependent and model affected by inflation under the pattern of time value of money over a finite planning horizon. Shortages are allowed and partially backordered depending on the waiting time for the next replenishment. The main ob...
